“Patty first got involved in politics to fight back against politicians who were trying to cut a preschool program that her kids counted on. When one legislator told her that she couldn’t make a difference because she was “just a mom in tennis shoes,” she realized that if she wanted to change, she was going to have to lace up those tennis shoes and fight back.” From then on, she showed how through unity, everyday people can make a change. She would go on to run for school boards, then even state legislature changing policies impacting families. Patty works hard to be the voice for families and women and even ran for Senate. Murray works hard to utilize everything to solve problems. As a senator when COVID-19 was someone who pushed hard to bring serious alert, working to bring relief for all (small businesses, health workers, families, and the community) by distributing vaccines, helping schools, and more. She emphasizes working towards adapting and continuing to change for the best to get the results. She isn’t afraid to stand up for what she believes in whether it is the Trump Administration or other beliefs. Patty works to improve many areas (health care, housing assistance, and increased benefits for veterans, to hold the VA accountable, and support families. She listens to her constituents and is ready to fight.
