Tina is proud to represent our community in Olympia and work on issues that improve the lives of people living in South King County.
Believing strongly in transparency between government and constituents, Tina is committed to making sure all residents in her district have a voice down in Olympia. Representing us, she enjoys tackling some of our most complex issues, including workforce development and affordable housing, and finding solutions to strengthen our foreclosure laws, suicide prevention, stopping child trafficking, and supporting survivors of sexual assault.
Tina has represented the 33rd district since 2009 and in that time has worked with all levels of government to help embrace best practices to better serve the community. With a Master’s of Social Work in administration from the University of Washington, 20 years’ experience in public mental health, and expertise in strategic planning have established her as a valued legislator and community leader.
Tina is an active member of the Kent Chamber of Commerce. She served on the boards of Judson Park retirement community in Des Moines and the United Way of King County Impact Council.
She has been involved in our local schools as a mom, PTSA member, and school levy supporter. Tina’s children graduated from MRHS. Her daughter is obtaining her Masters in Special Education at UW. Her son is an IBEW member and in his third year in his apprenticeship to become a commercial electrician.
