Commissioner Ryika Hooshangi is an active community member in Sammamish. Ryika is a strong moderate who believes that Olympia has abandoned the middle and the extreme policy decisions of the past few years have had unintended consequences that have made Washington less safe and less affordable. She is committed to going to Olympia and working for real solutions that help real people.
Ryika has spent nearly twenty years working with Federal, State, and local governments on public policy, international law, and government affairs. As a small business owner, Ryika runs her own law firm focusing on contracts, immigration, and other business needs. She serves as an attorney with the statewide Moderate Means Program, assisting clients in need of legal services but cannot afford a full-fee attorney.
Ryika is committed to making our communities safe, bringing back affordability to Washington State, and improving our educational system. Ryika and her husband have two children and live in Sammamish.
